Upon entering suite number 314, you’ll be greeted by a comfortable lounge area where you can unwind, enjoy a cup of tea, or even catch up on work. To the right, a small bar area allows you to make yourself a refreshing beverage, and complimentary water is readily available. A desk provides a suitable workspace if needed, and a coffee area adds a nice touch.
Moving on to the main bedroom, you’ll find a spacious king-sized bed with side tables equipped with telephones for easy communication with reception or room service. The room also offers ample storage space, making it convenient for guests to organize their belongings. Additionally, a television allows for entertainment, and the view outside, although obstructed by renovations during our visit, adds to the overall ambiance.
The attached bathroom, or washroom, includes a bath, shower, toilet, and sink. Complimentary items such as a natural kit, shaving kit, shower cap, and toiletries are provided. The bathroom boasts adequate lighting, ensuring a pleasant experience.

Hotel Experience:
While Hotel International has a rich history as one of Kolkata’s first five-star hotels, our experience during our stay left much to be desired. Despite receiving an upgrade, the room quality did not match the enticing photos on booking websites. The property showed signs of wear and tear, and an unpleasant odor was noticeable throughout. The swimming pool appeared discolored, and the outdoor areas were in poor condition.
The breakfast choices were limited, with a lackluster selection on both days of our stay. We felt that the hotel could benefit from renovations and improved maintenance to restore its former glory.
